PLAVE - CONCERT ENCORE
An atmosphere that has nothing to envy from other Kpop concerts.
On this October 5th in Seoul, the virtual group PLAVE is organizing an encore concert called “PLAVE FAN CONCERT ‘Hello, Asterum!’ ENCORE“.
From the end of the morning, many fans are lining up to get goodies from the group. Whether it’s photo cards, or lightsticks that have a very worked design, as for any kpop concert everything is designed so that everyone keeps the best possible memories.
As a reminder, the group PLAVE is made up of 5 members, YEJUN, NOAH, BAMBY, EUNHO, and HAMIN, it is a virtual group created by Vlast Entertainment. Using AI technologies, as well as real people to create these 3D characters and the imagination of designers, the group is gaining popularity and like a Kpop group organizes concerts, comebacks, and participation in original soundtracks.
KSTATION TV is today invited to the first encore concert, a first experience for us facing this new concept that we can’t wait to discover.
It is impressive to see the number of fans present in the room, which seems to be full. At the stage level we discover a large platform with a huge screen placed on it and two other giant screens on the sides which will be used for close-ups. And in the center of the pit a small round stage, protected letting us anticipate a surprise.
As soon as we enter we are already positively surprised, in fact the entrance tickets are not paper, but they are magnetic cards, which each fan will necessarily keep for their collection. Each one is given a slogan (banner of encouragement), a photo card and a sheet of stickers as gifts. The fans are already all ready to experience this concert which starts at 6 p.m. sharp (good time to allow everyone to return home after not too late).
Five minutes before the start of the show, a few MVs are broadcast, nothing like it to warm up on the fans singing and start to get the fans in the mood. When suddenly it’s dark and the show begins with the title “기다릴게 (Wait for you)”, while the group is presented as performers, this title is well chosen because it makes you think of a band, already showing the mix of concepts, totally perfect for this start of the show. The titles “I just love ya“, “Why?”, “But your idol” and “Pump up the volume” will follow.
It won’t take us long to see the undeniable work that is done for this concert, the visual is there. The 5 members dance and their gestures are adapted, even a few small mistakes are made to add this adorable side, the fans’ lightsticks are set and coordinated with the colors of the song but also the emotions. The lighting effects and stage accessories, bubbles, foam and even snow amplify the immersion in the world of PLAVE.
Many people may be reluctant to this form, this concept, but somewhere we see that many like manga, reading, imagination, so why not. Somewhere we find ourselves in this same type of entertainment and many fans join conventions, so we understand the interest for the group PLAVE.
The show follows between speaking moments, games, Q&A, notably named “PLAVE POUCHY” or “INSIDE PLLI” and magical thing that only this concept allows, the costume changes are done instantly. And of course different titles like “여섯 번째 여름“, “Watch me woo!” or “Way 4 luv” make the fans present vibrate.
Each member of PLAVE will also give us the gift of a solo performance, with original songs or covers of songs by other Kpop singers “Drowning” (Woodz), “On the ground” (Rose), “Hold my hand” (Iu). And, the group will give the best possible gift with the title “12시32분” which is not yet released, and each fan understands what awaits them.
One of the other moments that will have been intense for the fans is of course, when the members appeared on this small stage in the center of the pit, a moment with a lot of emotion led by the titles “From” and “Dear. PLLI“.
The encore concert will end beautifully between sweetness and energy, a few snowflakes and hearts falling from the ceiling of the room, the fans were really amazed. Of course they will ask for more, and the members of PLAVE will not be asked twice to come back and close this evening with the title “Pixel world“.
PLAVE’s encore concert “PLAVE FAN CONCERT ‘Hello, Asterum!’ ENCORE” took place over two days on October 5th and 6th in Seoul.
Our opinion on this experience: “Like many, I didn’t really know what to think. Well, if I were asked to go back, I would sign up right away, the work, the coordination, the staging is fantastic. The songs are really catchy, it was a very good experience, to do again and to discover in Korea if you have never done it.”
