Cube Entertainment (182360) has stated that it is “in discussions” regarding the rumored contract with (G)I-DLE member JEON SOYEON has fallen through.
A Cube Entertainment official stated on October 25, “JEON SOYEON‘s contract renewal is currently under discussion and the schedule will proceed as planned.“
JEON SOYEON‘s exclusive contract is set to expire in November. At (G)I-DLE concert in August, she stated, “My contract ends in November. Who should stop me?” and “XX should be wary of others.”
Cube Entertainment‘s dependence on (G)I-DLE has increased as most of the members of BTOB, CLC, and PENTAGON have left the company. When JEON SOYEON mentioned the end of his contract at the concert, Cube Entertainment‘s stock price dropped 5.8% in a week.
(G)I-DLE mentioned the contract with the agency in a joking tone online.
