Competition in each award category is fierce as the third round of official voting for the inaugural Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) has begun.

The first edition of the Korea Grand Music Awards began its third round of official voting on October 22. On the 23rd, the day after the opening, YOUNGTAK led the “KGMA Artist” category with 15% of the votes, beating JUNGKOOK (about 11%) and V (about 7%) of BTS.
In the “KGMA Song” category, JIMIN and DO KYUNG SOO competed fiercely for first and second place with 14% of the votes. In the Best Original Soundtrack category, ATEEZ’s JONGHO and AEASPA’s WINTER were neck and neck for first place with 49% and 48% of the votes.
In the “Trend of the Year” K-pop group category, which was selected by 100% of fans, RIIZE did well with 31%. In second place was MONSTA X, who received 23% of the votes.
In the male category of the fan-voted “rookie” award, RIIZE and TWS account for 53% and 37%, respectively, and NiziU leads by a wide margin with 86% in the female category.
In the second round of voting for the “Lulua x Fancast Best Popularity Award,” LEE CHAN WON remains in first place with an overwhelming 90% turnout.
The first Korea Grand Music Awards, hosted by Korea’s most reputable entertainment and sports magazine Daily Sports, will be held at Inspire Arena in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon on November 16 and 17.
The first day, “Artist Day,” will feature Newjeans, Do Kyung Soo, Tvxq, Bibi, Stacy, (G)I-dle, Youngtak, Yoo Hoe Seung, Lee Moo Jin, Lee Young Ji, Jung Dong Won (JD1), Zerobaseone, Qwer, Taemin, and P1Harmony, under the direction of Newjeans member Hani and actor Nam Ji Hyun.
On “Song Day,” the following day, Aespa members Nam Ji Hyun and Winter will be the MCs. The lineup includes Nowadays, Niziu, Day6, Riize, Song Ga in, Aespa, Ateez, Nct Wish, Yuqi, Eunice, Lee Chan Won, Jo1, Class:y, Treasure, and Fifty Fifty.
