“Singles,” the only local magazine in Korea for confident singles, interviewed ONEW, a member of the group SHINee who will release his fourth mini album “CONNECTION” on January 6, 2025, and published ONEW’s fashion photo. In the published photos, ONEW performed an intense photoshoot by expressing his style with costumes in a sophisticated and original way, showing a variety of charms as a master of painting.
In a recent interview, ONEW emphasized the keyword “challenge” several times, expressing her thoughts on a new challenge. ONEW said, “I came to sing a children’s song as a project for a Christmas show with Jo Sumi. I participated because it was an opportunity to perform a genre that I had never done before,” expressing his excitement about challenging a new genre. “I like to try things that others don’t do since I was young,” he said.
ONEW, which seems to be his hottest moment, said, “I recently appeared at a festival, and it’s a different place than where I usually perform. There may be people who don’t know me. I felt something warm seeing the audience singing along with me, communicating with each other, and having fun on such a stage. I was happy to see that.” Regarding the impression that there seem to be many scenes of audience greeting during the performance, ONEW said, “I can think that it’s a small part, but I can see that the atmosphere is relaxed after the audience greets each other.“
ONEW, who is preparing for a special birthday party with his fans, said, “I’ve done a small live stream with fans, but this is my first time hosting a birthday party in a venue. I’ve often told my fans that if they don’t come to this birthday party, they might regret it. That’s how much I’ve prepared. I’m sure the birthday party will be over by the time the interview is released, and I hope they enjoy it.”
On his new challenge, ONEW said, “I didn’t like doing photoshoots before. Unlike singing on stage, I have to think about something else. But now, I want to show the situation as much as possible and capture a wonderful moment. I thought that creating new visuals was also a useful experience for me.“
“I don’t think I’ll change my mind about taking on a new challenge next year. I’m also thinking about a concert. I’ll also try to meet my fans more often,” ONEW, who will release his album on January 25, said as he announced his New Year’s resolution.
