SE7EN paid tribute to Wheesung, who had previously had a relationship with YG Entertainment. During his lifetime, Wheesung was close to him by participating and writing lyrics for several songs, including “아쉬운 이별 (Miserable farewell)” and “Luz control“.
Wheesung was found dead at his home in Seoul on March 10, he was 43 years old.
According to his agency, Tajo Entertainment, Wheesung was found in cardiac arrest at his home at 6:29 p.m. KST. Paramedics who were dispatched after receiving the report immediately took emergency measures but he was eventually pronounced dead.
“We mourn the loss of the deceased with broken hearts due to the sudden sad news. It is heartbreaking to share the sad news with fans who have shown generous support and love for Wheesung. Please pray for his rest in peace,” the agency said.
The Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul said that no criminal charges, including signs of external invasion, have been confirmed so far and that they will request an autopsy from the National Forensic Medicine Service to investigate the exact cause of death.
