JYP Entertainment‘s new boy group, KICKFLIP, will perform at its first international music festival this summer.
According to Lollapalooza‘s announcement on its official social media channels on March 18 (local time), KICKFLIP will participate in the international music festival “Lollapalooza Chicago” at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, from July 31 to August 3.
KICKFLIP will host a major music festival approximately six months after its January debut and will showcase the energy of the “new generation of K-pop super-rookies.“
Starting in Chicago, USA, in 1991, “Lollapalooza” is an international music festival that now takes place in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, and France. Each year, 170 groups participate in the festival, attracting an average of 115,000 spectators per day. The spotlight is on KICKFLIP’s performance, which captivated fans both domestically and internationally since its debut on the Lollapalooza stage with its excellent performance and onstage talent, attracting the attention of music lovers worldwide.
On January 20th, KICKFLIP, which released its first mini-album “FLIP IT, KICK IT!” and its title track “Mama said,” successfully concluded its first performance.
The new album topped the weekly album chart and the weekly album sales chart (January 19-25, 2025) and sold 276,881 copies (the number of albums sold in a week based on the release date) according to the Hanteo chart, earning an official initial certification plaque. Furthermore, the album won two K-pop awards within 33 days of its debut, demonstrating the boundless potential of the newcomers.
