BOYNEXTDOOR will be performing at “Lollapalooza,” the world’s largest music festival.
Lollapalooza announced on its official social media channels on March 18th (local time) that BOYNEXTDOOR will perform at Lollapalooza Chicago at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, from July 31st to August 3rd. BOYNEXTDOOR will perform on August 3rd, the final day of the festival. According to the lineup announced that day, in addition to BOYNEXTDOOR, world-renowned musicians such as Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, The Creator, and Sabrina Carpenter will also perform.
Lollapalooza is a large outdoor music festival held every summer in Chicago, Illinois. Since its inception in 1991, internationally renowned artists such as Paul McCartney, Metallica, and Coldplay have performed there.
This is BOYNEXTDOOR’s first time being invited to Lollapalooza, a testament to the group’s stature. Their third EP, “19.99,” released last year, was a resounding success, reaching the Billboard 200, the main album chart in the US, and the digital single “오늘만 I LOVE YOU,” released in January, charted on both the Global (non-US) and Global 200 charts.
BOYNEXTDOOR has high expectations for the Lollapalooza stage, building on their exceptional performances at numerous prestigious festivals. They have established themselves as “next-generation artists” as prestigious guests at the Japanese festival “Summer Sonic 2024” and the Korean festival “Weaverscon Festival.” They notably kept their handheld microphones on every stage and demonstrated exceptional vocals and mastery. This is why the six members’ performances at “Lollapalooza” are particularly noteworthy.
BOYNEXTDOOR also continues its first solo tour, “KNOCK on Vol. 1.” After performances in Incheon, six Japanese cities, and Singapore, they will now be performing in Manila on the 22nd, Bangkok on the 29th, Taipei on April 3rd, Hong Kong on the 6th, and Jakarta on the 12th.
