(G)I-DLE’s YUQI has reached the top of the Chinese music charts.
On March 17, YUQI released her digital single “RADIO (Dum-Dum)” on several music platforms. The song was officially released as a digital single after her solo debut during her “2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL] IN SEOUL” tour last year.
Immediately following its release, “Radio (Dum-Dum)” garnered significant interest on China’s largest music site, QQ Music, ranking number one on the daily and weekly charts for digital albums. Its debut on the Korean music site’s Melon HOT100 chart sparked eager fans’ interest.
Additionally, YUQI released a live video of “Radio (Dum-Dum)” on Genie Music’s YouTube channel. The video features YUQI performing “Radio (Dum-Dum)” in unique costumes from different angles. The scene, in particular, showcases YUQI’s rock-star-like charm thanks to sensual arrangements and delicate vocals.
YUQI’s song, “Radio (Dum-Dum),” is a mid-tempo boom-bap hip-hop track, masterfully combining mid-low vocals with a trendy melody. It showcases YUQI’s unique sensitivity and infinite musicality.
YUQI recently appeared on JTBC’s “Knowing Foreign Language High School” alongside fellow member MINNIE, and played an active role as a comedic host.
