RED VELVET - WENDY
The Community Chest of Korea (chairman Kim Byung Joon) announced on March 27 that WENDY of the group RED VELVET had donated 50 million won to aid victims of the Yeongnam forest fires and support recovery.

WENDY said, “I express my deepest condolences to those who lost their homes due to this sudden fire,” adding, “I hope the fire will be extinguished as soon as possible without causing further damage.”
WENDY became the 2,602nd member of the Honor Society, a group of high-value donors of the Community Chest of Korea, in 2021, with a donation of 100 million won to support COVID-19 victims.
Since the 21st, wildfires in Yeongnam, particularly in Sancheong (North Gyeongsang) and Uiseong (North Gyeongsang), have surpassed the damage caused by the 2000 East Coast wildfires, considered the worst on record.
With more than 36,000 people displaced, and sadly 26 deaths, Community Chest of Korea is holding a special fundraiser to support wildfire relief efforts through the 30th of next month.
