A Chinese pop-up commemorating the release of NCT (SM Entertainment)’s MARK’s debut solo album is proving a hit.

MARK’s pop-up, dedicated to the release of his first solo album “THE FIRSTFRUIT,” is being held from April 19th to 25th at the Jingdong Shopping Mall in Guangzhou, China. It has generated considerable enthusiasm thanks to the collaboration with QQ Music, China’s largest music platform, which offers local fans a space to enjoy the album.
The pop-up includes an exhibition area where you can admire the concept art for “THE FIRSTFRUIT,” a photo space where you can leave a souvenir photo, and a guestbook area where you can send a message of support to MARK.
Notably, despite MARK’s surprise visit on April 21st, without prior notice, more than 4,000 fans immediately flocked to the five-story mall, demonstrating MARK’s strong local popularity.
Additionally, MARK filmed the “1999” dance challenge in front of over 4,000 fans gathered there and said, “Thank you for supporting my first solo album. I will work hard to become a better person in the future,” expressing his feelings to the fans and sharing a heartwarming moment.
In addition to selling half a million copies of his debut solo album, MARK has become globally popular, winning three awards on music shows such as “Music Bank,” “Show! Music Core,” and “Show! Champion,” topping major music charts in Korea, topping the QQ Music Digital Album Sales chart in China, topping the AWA Realtime Surge chart in Japan, and ranking on Spotify’s “Top Global Debut Album” chart and on the “Downloads” and “Singles Sales” charts of the UK Official Album Chart.
MARK will appear at “2025 SBS Popular Song Unicorn in Tokyo Dome,” which will air at 3:10 PM (local time) on April 27.
