SHOWNU, STEVE AOKI
MONSTA X‘s SHOWNU and world-renowned DJ and producer, delivered a surprise performance with Steve Aoki on October 25.

SHOWNU attracted attention by making a surprise appearance on Steve Aoki’s stage at the “2025 EDC KOREA” music festival held at the Inspire Entertainment Resort in Incheon on October 25th, without prior notice.
When Steve Aoki, who was performing that day, took over the stage for “Play it cool,” SHOWNU made a surprise appearance, rushing to his side with a refreshing and passionate performance that brightened up the Friday night.
“Play it cool” is a track from the second half of MONSTA X‘s second studio album, “TAKE.2 WE ARE HERE,” and Steve Aoki was the producer.
Previously, MONSTA X performed jointly with Steve Aoki at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas in September 2019. In December of the same year, they held another joint performance at the MDL Beast Fest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, attracting the local audience with perfect chemistry and breath.

This concert, organized in collaboration with Steve Aoki to celebrate his visit to Korea, took place on the same day approximately five years later. After the performance, Steve Aoki posted a video of the performance with SHOWNU on his social media, and SHOWNU also shared a photo of them together on MONSTA X‘s official social media, greeting fans and revealing their friendship.
SHOWNU is currently connecting with fans through various activities. Last year, he announced his successful musical debut with the musical “Great Comet” and won the Digital Content Award at the 2024 KBS Entertainment Awards for his role as the main host of the YouTube entertainment show “Nopogy.” He also demonstrated his influence by walking the runway at Milan Fashion Week in February as an ambassador for K-WAY®, a French high-end lifestyle brand.
MONSTA X, of which SHOWNU is a member, will celebrate its 10th anniversary on May 14. The group plans to meet its fans through various upcoming activities.
