Yesterday evening, May 19th, at the On Air club located between Hongdae and Hapjeong in Seoul, singer CHOI SUHWAN took to the microphone and the stage to unleash his musical world.
A two-hour solo performance allowed the audience to fully appreciate CHOI SUHWAN‘s voice. In a style somewhere between romantic ballads and R&B, CHOI SUHWAN filled the audience with emotion and thrills.
CHOI SUHWAN is a singer and performer you may have seen on several shows such as “Produce X 101,” where he was noted for his precise dancing skills, his energy, and, of course, his voice. He also appeared on the shows “Build Up,” which led him to join the group WATERFIRE, and more recently “Undercover,” where his voice was truly showcased during both shows.
During this performance, we were able to enjoy various songs from CHOI SUHWAN‘s repertoire, such as “Left on read” and “Losing sleep.” The artist also shared a song dedicated to his pet. A song that resonates with everyone, reflecting the bond you have with this little being who brings you happiness and touches your heart at the time of their passing.
Beneath his ballad/R&B singer-songwriter airs, expressing his emotions, as with the tracks “Starry night” and “Chance,” we can see a strong energy and tension just waiting to explode. You can also see this in the various dance covers that SUHWAN posts on his social media.
Another, more playful side of CHOI SUHWAN was revealed during “Talk” sessions with fans. The first was where CHOI SUHWAN answered questions posed to him, and the second was more interactive, in which fans participated in a live chat displayed on a screen, asking questions and giving opinions. This live interaction allowed for more genuine and live reactions, bringing smiles to the faces of both fans and the artist, creating a real connection between them.
From the very beginning of the event, CHOI SUHWAN captured the hearts of fans by sharing small gifts, bringing them into his world. Any true fan of the artist will have noticed the connection between the small boat and the blue rose in relation to CHOI SUHWAN‘s musical universe. In addition, each fan was able to leave a little message for the artist before or after the performance.
Whether it’s with his own songs, performing original soundtracks in Korean or Japanese, or even a cover of BIGBANG’s “If you,” CHOI SUHWAN imposes his powerful, sensual, and emotional voice.
CHOI SUHWAN can be found on his YouTube channel (ICI), while waiting for the release of his next song, and who knows, maybe an album or mini-album?! The artist invites all his fans to his upcoming activities, such as busking or other performances.
