CLC former member ELKIE, who was threatened with death by carbon monoxide poisoning, has declared that she has fully recovered.

ELKIE posted on her social media this Wednesday: “I’m back. I’m so sorry I inadvertently surprised you earlier this month. Thank you for your concern. I’ve made a full recovery.”
Earlier, ELKIE had reported being taken to the emergency room on May 3rd for carbon monoxide poisoning. “I woke up yesterday morning with a headache and dizziness,” she said, explaining her nightmare day.
According to ELKIE, as she was about to take her medication, she felt pain in her eyes and fell after feeling dizzy. The diagnosis of carbon monoxide poisoning wasn’t made until she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. ELKIE explained that her discomfort was likely due to a gas leak, which had no odor, smoke, or noise.

ELKIE stated that she was tired, sleepy, and had a headache, but she was angry because she was used to putting up with it. Upon arrival at the hospital, her carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) concentration was 20%, more than ten times that of a normal person, and it appeared to be a mild to moderate addiction.
“I was so dizzy this time. I’m so lucky and grateful,” ELKIE said. After about four weeks of treatment, ELKIE has recovered and appears to be attending her activities. She also announced the upcoming release of a new song.

ELKIE, meanwhile, debuted with the K-pop girl group CLC in 2016. She rose to prominence as the first Hong Kong member of the K-pop girl group and has been active in Greater China since her departure in 2021.
