I-DLE
Girl group I-DLE has successfully wrapped up promotions for its 8th mini-album and its title track “Good thing.”

On May 19, the group returned from a 10-month break with the release of its mini-album “WE ARE”. They followed up with a wide range of activities, including appearances on music shows, radio programs, variety shows, YouTube content, university festivals, and a performance at ASEA 2025.
“WE ARE” marks I-DLE’s first full-group release since renewing its contracts with Cube Entertainment, ushering in a new chapter under its updated group name. Upon release, the album topped both the daily and weekly digital album charts on China’s Kugou Music platform. It also recorded first-week sales of 1,063,526 copies, making it the group’s fourth consecutive million-seller. With this, I-DLE set a new 2025 record for the highest first-week sales for a K-pop girl group album, reaffirming their popularity.
The title track “Good thing” also sparked a hugely popular dance challenge. The group’s signature “thumbs up” choreography, paired with a catchy hook, was recreated not only by top choreographers such as Bada, Chillit, Kinki, Honey J, and Harimu, but also by entertainers like producer Na Young Seok, Lee Eun Ji, Jonathan, and Christian. On the global short-form video platform TikTok, Miyeon’s featured dance from the music video went viral among international fans.
I-DLE kicked off music show promotions on May 22 with a performance of “Good thing” on Mnet’s M Countdown. The members impressed viewers with bold outfits and strong live vocals, giving the energy of a full concert. Their final televised stage aired June 1 on SBS Inkigayo, where they recreated the music video’s concept, and Soyeon’s new sleek long hairstyle caught fans’ attention.

On May 29, I-DLE concluded this round of promotions with a performance at the ASEA 2025 event held at K Arena in Yokohama, Japan. The group was honored with the Record of the Year award in recognition of their achievements over the past year—marking their first grand prize of 2025. They also took home The Platinum and Global K-Pop Leaderawards, making them triple winners that night.
With official promotions for “WE ARE” now complete, I-DLE is set to perform on the main stage of Japan’s largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2025, this August. In October, they will embark on a tour in Japan to reconnect with its local fans.
