USPEER
Today, June 4, 2025, the group USPEER officially makes its debut with its first single titled “SPEED ZONE.”

USPEER is the newest girl group from WM Entertainment, the agency known for artists like B1A4, OH MY GIRL, and ONF. The name USPEER is a combination of “US” and “SPEER,” representing the aspiration to “understand the essence of the world together and create a better future.” The group is made up of seven members: SIAN, DAON, CHAENA, SOEE, SEOYU, ROA, and YEOWON.
From the very first teaser photos and videos, the group set out to show more than just athleticism—they aimed to express their drive to go fast and far, clearly signaling their ambition. Their goal is to break boundaries and reach international fans through their music. The showcase opens with a teaser video introducing each member individually before they take the stage to greet the press and pose for photos.
Naturally, the group shared that they worked hard in preparation for their debut—marking WM Entertainment’s first girl group debut in 10 years. The girls beamed with joy, clearly thrilled to be on stage for this important moment. They thanked the journalists in attendance and expressed gratitude to everyone who would support them in the future.
As they prepared to perform their very first track, “Zoom”, the MC revealed that the music video was shot in Bangkok, Thailand in just three days. Energetic and full of life, the girls lit up the stage, switching between singing and rapping. The video was then shown, featuring a Y2K aesthetic—a style currently very popular in Korea and popularized by groups like NEW JEANS.
The group returned to the stage afterward to discuss the single in more detail, emphasizing its “sporty” feel, highlighted by electric and hip-hop sounds, and the repeated use of the word “zoom” in the chorus. SEOYU demonstrated the choreography from the chorus, and SOEE shared behind-the-scenes stories, mentioning the MV was filmed in a skate park. SEOYU added that she was the slowest during a speed challenge among the members.
Later, USPEER performed a second track, “Telepathy,” sung a cappella by the younger members. During a Q&A with the press, leader YEOWON expressed pride in debuting under such a prestigious agency and said she didn’t feel weighed down by the responsibility of representing it. On the contrary, she shared how they received support from fellow labelmates: OH MY GIRL treated them to meals and beef, while B1A4 gave vocal advice and brought drinks for them.
Even though they’re just starting out, the members hope to soon hear that their group is well-balanced, that they complement each other, and that they’re strong performers—making their industry seniors proud. Being praised for their vocals would be the ultimate compliment. They cited OH MY GIRL as role models, admiring how the group remains beloved and active, while also taking good care of USPEER. They also mentioned SEULGI of RED VELVET for her unforgettable performances, and TAEYEON of SNSD for her powerful, moving voice.
“Rather than saying our group’s concept is ‘athletic,’ we prefer to be described as a dynamic group with varied and detailed charms.” – YEOWON
The group’s appeal lies in its energy and vitality, which will allow each member’s unique charm to shine through diverse content and performances. They hope to one day do challenges with B1A4, and since they’ve already done dance covers of BABYMONSTER and ENHYPEN, doing challenges with those groups would be a dream come true. Their main goal, however, is to win first place on a music show—or even chart on Billboard. Since that’s no longer out of reach for K-pop artists, they mentioned Coachella as a festival they’d love to perform at someday.
Talking more about sports, YEOWON shared that she practiced taekwondo, while SOEE played tennis. Reporters asked YEOWON to demonstrate her taekwondo skills, and she did so under the photographers’ flashing cameras. As the showcase came to a close, the group shifted to a more serious tone to perform “Telepathy,” a track with hip-hop and R&B influences.
This song ends with a dance break, showcasing the girls’ skills and delivering a fresh and vibrant concept. Tomorrow, they’ll make their first appearance on a music show—an exciting opportunity to meet the public. Before leaving the stage, they offered a final heartfelt thank you to the journalists, asking everyone to follow their journey closely.

Our reporter’s final note: “A cheerful and promising group—congratulations on your debut!”
