On this January 7th, CHUU unveiled her new album “XO, MY CYBERLOVE“.

To mark the release of her first full album, “XO, MY CYBERLOVE”, KSTATION TV had the opportunity to chat with CHUU about the album, which was released on January 7, 2026.
In this new album, CHUU explores various forms of love through nine tracks, as well as the blurring of lines between the virtual and real worlds today. She said, “This is my first full-length album, so I’m both nervous and very excited. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time to be able to showcase the full range of my voice and my world.“

This roundtable starts with “Xo, my cyberlove” music video, which tells a love story from the perspective of an artificial intelligence experiencing its first love. It’s a powerful artistic choice that questions our relationship with digital connections: “I wanted to talk about modern love, born in a world where the real and the virtual merge,” explains CHUU, before adding, “The more something is digitised, the less people seem to truly know each other.“
This theme resonates particularly strongly in an era where AI sometimes becomes a reassuring presence in people’s daily lives. “Sometimes, when I have no one to call, the AI becomes the one who listens and comforts me at the end of the day“, CHUU candidly admits.
Furthermore, CHUU mentions regarding the choice of the song title:
“My international fans always send me messages with ‘Xo, love you CHUU,’ and I wondered what that meant. When I learned its meaning, I wanted to include it in my songs.”
Centered around the title track “XO, my cyberlove“, the album unfolds through “Canary“, a cinematic pop ballad with intense emotional weight; “Cocktail dress“, with its indie and alternative sounds; “Limoncello“, a bright and playful track; “teeny tiny heart“, which gently explores the torments of love through synth-pop; “Love potion“, which infuses the album with vibrant Afrobeats-pop energy; “Heart tea bag“, with its dreamy and introspective R&B influences; “Hide & seek“, which expresses the oscillations of affection; and finally, “Loving you!“, which concludes the album with a hyper-pop/hyper-rock explosion.
While “Xo, my cyberlove” evokes romantic relationships, the album is not limited to this type of love. CHUU also explores friendship, family love, protection, and vulnerability, as in “Canary“, a track that particularly resonated with her due to its powerful and emotional symbolism. Each of these new tracks tells an intimate story, carried by a sincere performance and a particular attention to emotions.
“Even though I am small and fragile, if I can protect someone, I want to do it with all my might.“- CHUU

The preparation of this album was not without its challenges. CHUU describes a period of doubt and self-questioning: “During the preparation of this album, I doubted my ability to touch people’s hearts, so I continued to practice relentlessly.” For her, authenticity remains paramount: “Singing my story is an integral part of my role as an artist.“
Thus, although she hasn’t yet fully embraced the role of songwriter, she affirms her desire to write and tell her own stories with even greater precision and authenticity in the future: “I tried writing lyrics for this album, but I didn’t want to summarise everything in one or two sentences. If I have the opportunity, I will continue working on it to write my own songs for a future album.“

Furthermore, as she approaches her tenth anniversary after her debut, CHUU reflects on her journey. “Ten years still feels unreal. I’ve always loved singing, and every moment has been precious“, she confides, before adding, “No matter how much time passes, I want to continue evolving without limits as a solo female artist.“
Finally, with “XO, MY CYBERLOVE“, CHUU isn’t just releasing an album; she’s laying the groundwork for a larger artistic narrative. “This album isn’t an end, but a starting point“, she affirms, driven by a clear ambition: “One day, I want to become a singer capable of filling a concert with just her songs.“

Words of our reporter: ““XO, MY CYBERLOVE” is an album you’ll want to listen to on repeat, as each track evokes a familiar emotion. This album heralds a very promising future for CHUU.”
