ENHYPEN dominates Japan’s major album charts with its 6th mini album.
ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-Ki) has showcased remarkable physical sales power by topping major album charts in Japan with its 6th mini-album, “DESIRE: UNLEASH”.
According to the latest chart released by Oricon on June 7 (data as of June 6), “DESIRE: UNLEASH” debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart, selling 275,344 copies on its release day in Japan.
With this achievement, ENHYPEN has now had all 12 of its albums released in Korea and Japan top the Oricon Daily Album Chart upon release, solidifying its popularity in both countries.
Notably, this marks the highest first-day sales for any of the group’s albums to date. This figure is approximately double the sales of their previous repackage album, “ROMANCE: UNTOLD -daydream-“, demonstrating ENHYPEN’s growing influence in the Japanese market.
Additionally, “DESIRE: UNLEASH” reached No. 1 on both the iTunes Japan Top Albums and Apple Music Japan charts immediately upon release.
The title track, “Bad desire (With or Without You),” has also received a warm reception: it ranked No. 1 on AWA’s real-time “Top 100 Trending Songs” chart, a major Japanese music platform, and entered the Top 10 of Oricon’s Daily Digital Singles Chart as of June 6. The music video is also gaining attention, reaching No. 6 on Line Music Japan’s Top 100 Music Videos chart.
The global enthusiasm for this new album is palpable. In just three days, “DESIRE: UNLEASH” sold over 1.95 million copies, putting ENHYPEN on track for their third “Double Million Seller” album. International media have praised the album:
