The girl crush will set the stadium on fire with a halftime performance.

The iconic girl group 2NE1 will bring the heat to the highly anticipated matchup between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, which will take place on August 3 at 8:00 PM at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, as part of the Coupang Play 2025 series.
Coupang Play has announced that 2NE1 will perform during the halftime show of this match.
2NE1, a quartet that debuted in 2009, immediately shook the K-pop scene. With a bold concept and unique style, they captivated fans both in Korea and internationally, quickly becoming icons of their generation. With hits like “Fire,” “I don’t care,” “I am the best,” and “Come back home,” they built a global fanbase and were the first Korean girl group to embark on a world tour, opening a new chapter for K-pop.
They were also the first girl group to win both the rookie award and a grand prize in their debut year, and to place three songs simultaneously in the Top 10 of annual rankings. They even reached 61st on the Billboard 200, solidifying their presence on the global stage.
In 2022, 2NE1 surprised audiences with a performance that reunited all the members at the American Coachella festival. They then gathered 220,000 spectators during their “WELCOME BACK” Asian tour, their first full concert in 10 years and 6 months, which sold out at every stop.
The members said:
“We are so excited to be part of an event that brings together athletes and fans from all over the world. As fans of Son Heung Min, it’s even more special for us to be there. We want to create an unforgettable memory with a spectacular performance.”
Additionally, the match will feature Europa League champions Tottenham against Carabao Cup winners Newcastle, in what is being called a “Champion Match.” Before the kickoff, a special ceremony will take place to present the trophies of both teams.
General ticket sales will open on July 4 at 8:00 PM KST for Coupang Wow members. Sports Pass subscribers will receive discounts when booking.
