EPEX reaches the peak of its youth trilogy with its third full-length album.

On July 1 at midnight (KST), EPEX unveiled a leader film on its official social media and YouTube channel for its third studio album, “소화(韶華) Chapter 3: ROMANTIC YOUTH”.
In the animated video, the main character floats through the sky before falling into the ocean. A massive splash follows, and the hero transforms into a whale. As if losing strength, the whale sinks deep into the sea — but then reopens its eyes, launching powerfully back above the surface, glowing with a mysterious pastel light.
The new EPEX logo, revealed next, grabs attention with its whale shape and rich, dimensional blue tones. The stunning ocean-inspired visuals raise anticipation for the group’s upcoming universe.
“Youth Chapter 3: ROMANTIC YOUTH” is the final installment of EPEX’s youth trilogy, a studio album series they began last year. If the keywords for the first two chapters were “secret” (Chapter 1: Prelude of Youth) and “choice” (Chapter 2: Book of Anxiety), this third chapter revolves around “awakening,” promising a powerful conclusion to EPEX’s signature youth narrative.
By releasing three consecutive full-length albums, EPEX is showcasing strong musical confidence. The group recently wrapped up a successful Asia tour, “Youth Deficiency,” and continues expanding globally — most recently with the release of so nice, a new collaboration with American retro synthpop duo joan.
After eight months away, EPEX will make their comeback with “Youth Chapter 3: ROMANTIC YOUTH”, set to drop on July 28 at 6 p.m. KST on all major streaming platforms.
