YOUNGJAE
YOUNGJAE, member of the group GOT7, will be releasing a new song for the first time in about a year.

On July 4, YOUNGJAE’s agency, Andbut Company, announced that from June 30 to July 3, they released a total of eight teaser images—two per day—on their official social media accounts. These teasers hint at a deeper emotional vibe in his upcoming release.
The released images encapsulate the message of the song, sparking fans’ curiosity. In particular, scenes showing YOUNGJAE running with all his might toward an unknown place or seemingly fleeing from someone visually express the core themes of “wandering” and “comfort,” heightening fans’ anticipation.
The teasers also include heartfelt lyric excerpts that offer warm consolation to youth, such as:
“If at the end of this long tunnel, I find nothing… how could I smile? I don’t know.”
“Where am I? Where am I headed? I stop… and ask myself again.”
“It’s been so long since I looked up at the sky… I forgot how blue it was.”
YOUNGJAE’s new song, titled “도망치는 건 부끄럽지만 (Running Away Is Not Shameful),” is an alternative hip-hop track with lyrics that comfort young people who feel lost and weary, paired with an emotional and powerful melody. It was previously previewed at GOT7’s concert in Thailand, where it deeply resonated with the audience.
Finally, this song carrying a message of hope, comfort, and courage for young people will be available on all online music streaming platforms on July 9 at 6 PM KST.
