ENHYPEN has become the fastest foreign artist to perform at a stadium in Japan.

ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki) is performing today (July 5) and tomorrow (July 6) at Tokyo’s Ajinomoto Stadium, followed by shows on August 2 and 3 at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka as part of its ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘WALK THE LINE’ IN JAPAN – SUMMER EDITION.
This milestone is especially meaningful: ENHYPEN is stepping into a Japanese stadium just 4 years and 7 months after its debut — the shortest time ever for a non-Japanese artist. Their explosive growth has earned them a place on Japan’s most coveted “dream stages,” reaffirming their status as a top-tier K-pop group.
Around the stadium, the atmosphere is already festive. Major Japanese sports newspapers like Sports Hochi, Daily Sports, and Nikkan Sports have published special front-page editions featuring ENHYPEN. Fans have lined up at nearby convenience stores to purchase these special issues.
In Tokyo, alongside the “SUMMER EDITION” concerts, a fan program called Fan Experience Tokyo is in full swing. Since June 24, the event has featured ENHYPEN, themed activities like ads along the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, a special exhibition at Tokyo Tower, food trucks, and local experiences using ENHYPEN’s IP.
Through its agency BELIFT LAB, ENHYPEN stated, “With so many people showing us love and interest, we’ve prepared a great performance. This stadium tour is a step that will help us grow even more, and we’ll take the stage with pride and determination.”
As the name “SUMMER EDITION” suggests, the concerts will feature special water effects to bring a refreshing energy. ENHYPEN added, “We’ve focused on creating a fun and cool performance where we can truly enjoy the moment with our ENGENEs. We promise a stage that leaves a lasting impression, so stay excited!”
Meanwhile, on July 4, the group pre-released their 4th Japanese single, “宵 -YOI-“, with the title track “Shine on me.” The song quickly climbed into the top tier of the Line Music Japan Real-Time Top 100 chart upon release. It is also featured as the ending theme of the local drama “Even Shrimp Want to Catch Sea Bream” (海老だって?が釣りたい), drawing even more attention. This new Japanese single, their first in nearly two years, is set to be officially released on July 29.
