A major music festival featuring a prestigious lineup will take place on September 6 and 7 at Seoul World Cup Stadium, located in the western part of the capital, according to organizer Hanteo Global.

“A legendary iconic Korean artist will headline the Hanteo Music Festival,” the company announced on Saturday.
The event will also feature a special stage showcasing K-pop artists from the 1st to 5th generations, celebrating the genre’s evolution over the decades.
The venue choice is also drawing attention. Seoul World Cup Stadium has only hosted a select number of K-pop artists with massive fanbases, such as IU, SEVENTEEN, and LIM YOUNG WOONG, raising high expectations for the scale and ambition of the festival.
Hanteo Global, best known for its music sales tracking service Hanteo Chart, stated that it plans to expand the festival internationally. Each global edition will be customized to reflect local cultural elements and tailored to suit the preferences of regional fandoms.
“The Hanteo Music Festival aims to go beyond a traditional concert and serve as the starting point for a platform that integrates culture, industry, and intellectual property,” the company explained. “It will organically connect cultures, music, brands, and industries from around the world with K-culture.”
The full artist lineup will be announced soon.
