CATCH THE YOUNG
The band CATCH THE YOUNG held a busking performance on July 6 at Star Plaza on Yonsei-ro, Sinchon, Seoul, to celebrate the release of its new single “이상형 (Ideal Type).”
CATCH THE YOUNG kicked off the performance with an energetic rendition of “My own way.” The rich, vibrant sound of the band, capturing the essence of summer youth, immediately gave passersby an exhilarating experience.
After warming up the crowd with this opening song, the band shared a heartfelt moment, saying, “In 2023, we held our debut busking here. It feels special to come back and perform here again after a year and eight months.” They then launched into their main set, creating a strong connection with the audience.
CATCH THE YOUNG followed up with “Sentimental journey,” “널 만나러 가는 길(The Road to Meet You),” “Dream it,” and “The legend,” showcasing the full richness of their band sound. Their lively performance, blending the unique personalities of each member with fresh vocals perfectly suited to the season, delivered a stage presence comparable to a solo concert.
Between songs, the band engaged with the crowd through witty remarks, strengthening the bond with the audience. The “Catch The Young OX Quiz” event especially encouraged participation, turning the busking into a fun and interactive experience. Compared to their first busking, they displayed greater confidence on stage and better interaction with the audience.
The highlight of the busking was the performance of the title track “이상형 (Ideal Type).” Fueled by enthusiastic applause and encore requests, CATCH THE YOUNG closed the memorable night with a final song, “Youth!!!”
CATCH THE YOUNG is set to solidify its presence in the Korean rock scene by participating in major rock festivals in the second half of 2025, including the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, JUMF 2025 Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival, and Sound Planet Festival, confirming their key role in the K-band boom.
