TWICE - JEONGYEON
Stepping onto the big screen for the first time.

JEONGYEON, a member of the girl group TWICE (real name Yoo Jeong Yeon), is set to make her debut in film.
According to a report from YTN on July 22, JEONGYEON has recently been cast in the movie “The new recruit: The movie” (working title), directed by Min Jin-ki. She has been offered the role of a military nurse, marking her first step into acting, ten years after debuting in the music industry.
“The new recruit: The movie” is a spin-off of the hit drama series “New recruit“, known for its hyper-realistic yet comedic portrayal of military life. The series premiered its first season in 2022, followed by Season 2 in 2023 and Season 3 in April this year.
Unlike the original series, “The new recruit: The movie” will be set in a military hospital instead of a military base. The script is currently in its final stages, and filming is scheduled to begin in the second half of the year. JEONGYEON is currently adjusting her schedule in preparation for the shoot.
JEONGYEON debuted in 2015 as a member of TWICE, a group that rose to massive popularity with hits like “Cheer up,” “Fancy,” “TT,” and “Dance the night away.”
The group made its comeback on July 11 with its fourth full-length album “THIS IS FOR”. They are currently in the midst of their sixth world tour and are also set to headline Lollapalooza Chicago, one of the largest music festivals in the United States.
