BEOMGYU of TOMORROW X TOGETHER has conveyed his unique sensibility through the music video for his solo track.
On August 3, the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel released the music video for “Take my half,” BEOMGYU’s solo track from TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s 4th full-length album, “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE”. With this release, all five solo music videos from the members of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai) are now available.
“Take my half” is an emotional rock ballad, and BEOMGYU took part in its production, adding his own delicate touch. His restrained vocals combined with the gradually intensifying arrangement have received praise from listeners for their emotional depth.
The song’s message, “Sharing what I have is how I become happy”, is reflected in the video. In it, BEOMGYU portrays the “half” he offers, wandering through the heart of another. The hot air balloon he rides in metaphorically represents a gentle and joyful drift.
Toward the end, the video visually splits the space in half, delivering the message that even a half-filled world can still be beautiful. The setting, an endless field under a clear blue sky, enhances the song’s warm and subtle atmosphere.
Through his agency BigHit Music, BEOMGYU shared:
“This song was based on my own thoughts, and I think the emotion really came through in the video. It was tough filming in the heat where the grass had grown thick, but I’m happy with how I look on camera, it made me forget all the hard parts.”
TOMORROW X TOGETHER included solo tracks from each member on its 4th studio album, each expressing the theme of “togetherness” through their own emotions and perspectives. Now that all the solo MVs have been released, the individual charms of each member have captured the hearts of MOA (their fandom) around the world.
Meanwhile, TOMORROW X TOGETHER took 1st place on KBS2’s Music Bank on August 1 with its title track “Beautiful Strangers.” After also winning on Show! Champion (MBC M / MBC every1) on July 30, this marked its second trophy. They will wrap up official promotions for the 4th studio album on August 3 with their appearance on SBS’s Inkigayo.
