The 8-member boy group YOUNITE (유나이트), under BrandNew Music, is making its comeback today with its second single, “BOMBA (봄바)”.

This single continues to showcase YOUNITE’s wide musical range and unique performance style. With each release, the members (Eunho, Steve, Eunsang, Hyungseok, Woono, Dey, Kyungmun, and Sion) have affirmed their place as a rising global K-pop act. “BOMBA” marks their newest release roughly three months after their 7th EP “YOUNI-T (유니-티)”, which dropped this past May.
With “BOMBA,” YOUNITE promises to deliver an intense, powerful energy that contrasts their usual refreshing charm, building even more anticipation among fans. On the eve of the release (August 4), the group sat down to answer a few questions.
Q. How do you feel about releasing a new song in just around 3 months?
EUNHO: First of all, we’re happy to bring YOUNITE’s new music to you so quickly. Since it’s a style we’re trying out for the first time, we’re really excited to show a new and different side of ourselves.
SION: The title track of this single, “BOMBA,” is full of energy, much like our last title track “Rock steady.” But unlike the refreshing energy we showed before, this time it’s explosive and fiery, so get ready for something powerful!
Q. What kind of song is “BOMBA”?
WOONO: “BOMBA” blends various Latin genres with a hip-hop beat. It adds YOUNITE’s signature free-spirited and passionate energy and expresses our ambition to be unstoppable on stage. Members HYUNGSEOK and DEY contributed to the lyrics, adding even more quality — we hope everyone gives it lots of love.
Q. HYUNGSEOK and DEY took part in the rap-making for this song. What did you focus on the most?
HYUNGSEOK: We included Portuguese lyrics to connect more closely with our global fans. I also made an effort to write some lyrics in English. I was in charge of the intro, so I wrote lyrics that create a calm mood.
DEY: What I focused on the most was the vibe of the song. I really worked hard to bring out the passionate and fiery feeling of “BOMBA.”

Q. Can you explain the key choreography in “BOMBA”?
STEVE: The highlight is the dance break where we all shout in Portuguese while performing powerful moves. It’s the most energetic part of the whole song, definitely something to watch out for!
WOONO: Just like the song’s passionate energy, the performance is intense and non-stop. Among all the moves, I personally love the stylish part where it looks like we’re brushing dust off our shoulders, it looks really cool.
Q. This single shows a different side of YOUNITE from the refreshing image we’ve seen so far. What’s the biggest standout?
EUNHO: Being able to show a side of YOUNITE that we haven’t before, the addictive chorus, and the powerful performance are definitely the standout points.
DEY: The song’s relentless structure and the powerful performance that goes with it are what stand out the most for me.
Q. “Poco loco,” which was on your 6th EP “ANOTHER,” has been reinterpreted into a new version. What’s different this time?
SION: The newly arranged “Poco loco” adds South American-style sounds to the original, making it more fun and festive. It’s become a song that we can all enjoy together even more during live shows.
HYUNGSEOK: We reworked the song to better fit a Latin atmosphere, so we can enjoy it with our fans during our upcoming Brazil tour. I hope the fans really like this new version too!

Q. You’re about to go on your first Brazil tour since debut. How do you feel? Can you give us a little spoiler?
KYUNGMUN: It’s such a great opportunity to meet our Brazilian fans, I’m really excited. Since it’s our first time going, I’m looking forward to experiencing the culture and food firsthand. We’re preparing amazing stages, including our new song “BOMBA,” so please look forward to it!
WOONO: We’ve performed in many cities before, but this is our first time going such a long distance for a show, so I’m very excited. We’re getting ready with powerful, high-energy songs that we think our Brazilian fans will love.
Q. What are your plans for the rest of 2025?
EUNHO: First, we’ll give our best during the Brazil tour in August. After that, we’ll prepare to return quickly with more great activities.
KYUNGMUN: We have a lot of things in the works for the rest of the year, aiming to show new sides of ourselves.
Q. Any words for your fans (YOUNIZ) who love YOUNITE?
STEVE: Thank you always for your support. We’ll keep working hard to create even more beautiful memories together. Stay healthy and happy for the rest of 2025.
KYUNGMUN: YOUNITE will continue to work hard to reach YOUNIZ all around the world. Please keep watching us and cheering us on. We love you all so much!
SION: Thank you to all the YOUNIZ who always love and support us. Your support gives us the strength to move forward. We promise to be a group that gives back even more of that strength you send our way! Let’s go, fighting!
