CJ ENM has unveiled the main poster for its new musical short film “Back! Stage”.

On August 4, CJ ENM revealed the main poster for its new short musical film “Back! Stage” (directed by Bang Sung-joon).
Scheduled for an exclusive release in CGV theaters on August 18, “Back! Stage” is described as a 22-minute “music snack movie” with a fresh, immersive format that offers no time to catch your breath. The film was shot entirely on an iPhone 16 Pro, piquing further interest.
“Back! Stage” tells the story of Giseok (played by ATEEZ’s YUNHO), who receives a last-minute call from the very band that kicked him out two years prior, urgently asking him to step in as lead vocalist just before a performance. As he heads backstage, events unfold, revealing tension and eventual reconciliation. The film marks YUNHO’s official screen debut, and as a member of globally acclaimed group ATEEZ, the project has generated high anticipation since the release of its teaser poster and main trailer. With themes centered around music, youth, and personal growth, the short has already captivated fans.
The newly revealed poster features Giseok and the band members reunited on stage, delivering a passionate live performance. The trailer previously showed sharp conflicts and even physical altercations backstage, heightening curiosity about how the group managed to come back together.
Notably, the music director behind “Lovely runner” (Run Away With Sun-jae) contributed to the film’s original soundtrack, skillfully capturing the emotions of a youth band. Renowned Korean film producers Kim Jin-woo (Spring in Seoul, Harbin, The Handsome Guys) and Lee Yong-soo also took part in production, ensuring a high level of cinematic quality.
CJ ENM, having overseen everything from planning to production and soundtrack creation, aims to push the boundaries of cinema with this short-form musical that blends powerful music with viral potential.
“Back! Stage” will be released exclusively in CGV theaters starting August 18.
