A first short film to be screened in Hollywood.

The short film produced by SUDDENLY PICTURES and starring actor LEE HOWON, “THE OTHER SIDE OF WINTER”, will be officially screened for the first time on December 7 at the Culver City Film Festival in Hollywood, Los Angeles, United States, marking the official start of its international festival tour worldwide.
The film “THE OTHER SIDE OF WINTER” is an emotional drama following the affective journey of a character at the end of winter, crossing the boundaries of memory, loss, love, and healing, ultimately facing themselves. A mix of lyrical directing and a sober tone leaves a deep impression even in a short duration.
In this work, LEE HOWON shared the screen with Alejandro Park, Persephone Zymos, and Evan Michael Smith, making his debut in English. The ensemble with these international actors enriches the emotional density of the film and draws attention as a point where the new range of LEE HOWON’s acting can be appreciated.
Recently, LEE HOWON showed a spectacular transformation in his performance in the film “HEAVEN DOES NOT EXIST”, and he will present a new facet of himself in the action musical “I ALONE LEVEL UP ON ICE”.

The direction of “THE OTHER SIDE OF WINTER” is handled by director KARY HYUNJEONG RHO. Based in New York and Los Angeles, he has built a universe of experimental, musical, and multimedia film projects through works such as “AEIOU-Z”, “I CROSS THE SEA WITH YOU”, “INSOMNIA 4AM”, and “20”. His original direction, combining narrative, music, performance, and visual experimentation, has regularly drawn the attention of international festivals, and in this project, he naturally highlighted the new face of LEE HOWON through sensitive framing and meticulous emotional direction.
The music of the film was entrusted to music director PARK JIMIN, selected among the “10 New Talents Noticed” at the Cannes Festival, completing with finesse and depth the emotional line of the work. Furthermore, the soundtrack performed by LEE HOWON’s voice will be released in February 2026, constituting a new work that will extend the film’s emotion.
“THE OTHER SIDE OF WINTER” will be presented successively at various international festivals in North America, Europe, and Asia, starting with its screening in Hollywood.
