“ZOOTOPIE 2” shows unusual signs of success right from its release day.
According to the American box office statistics site Box Office Mojo, “ZOOTOPIE 2” earned $39.5 million (approximately 58 billion won) in North America on its first day of release, November 26 (local time). This figure is double the $17.2 million made by “Wicked: For good”.
Industry professionals estimate that “ZOOTOPIE 2” will record an opening weekend between $125 million and $150 million during Thanksgiving. This surpasses the $45.5 million of the 2022 film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and the $29 million of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Snake and Bird” in 2023, but remains below the $139 million of the highly praised “Moana 2” last year.
