FIFTY FIFTY
The 20 billion won (€12 million) legal battle between K-pop agency Attrakt and Warner Music Korea, in which the former accuses the latter of attempting to poach former members of the group FIFTY FIFTY, is set to begin on September 11.

The two parties will meet for the first hearing at 11:30 a.m. KST on September 11, as part of the civil lawsuit filed by Attrakt against Warner Music Korea in October of last year. Attrakt accuses the Korean branch of Warner Music of attempting to persuade the members of FIFTY FIFTY to break their contract with Attrakt in order to join Warner Music Korea instead.
This type of act is referred to as “tampering” in the sports and entertainment industries and constitutes a violation of the exclusive contract signed by an athlete or artist with their agency.
In 2023, the former members of the girl group FIFTY FIFTY attempted to sue their own agency, Attrakt, in order to terminate their contracts and sign with a new company. Attrakt claimed that it was executives from Warner Music Korea who persuaded the members to do so, a claim Warner has denied.
Four members initiated the legal process, but KEENA requested to return to the agency. The other three lost the lawsuit and were expelled from both the agency and FIFTY FIFTY.
FIFTY FIFTY made a comeback as a quintet, with four new members, on September 20, 2024.
