MONSTA X, the “artists you can trust to listen to”, is heating up the excitement for their comeback with the pre-released track “Do what I want”.

Starship Entertainment revealed on August 16, through MONSTA X’s official YouTube channel, the teaser for the music video of “Do what I want”, the pre-released track from its new EP “The X”, which will be released on August 18.
The teaser opens with a unique vocal chop that instantly grabs listeners’ attention. Then, to the question “Is this what you want?”, the members are shown either nodding powerfully to the beat or freely enjoying the moment. MONSTA X’s trademark energy, a mix of playfulness and confidence, creates a thrilling sense of immersion.
At the end of the video, the line “I do what I do what I ooohhh!” appears, delivering an intensely addictive hook and heightening anticipation for the track and music video dropping on August 18.
The pre-released track “Do what I want” is, as its title suggests, rooted in MONSTA X’s strong self-assurance: “I do what I want.” JOOHEON participated in both writing and composing, while I.M contributed to the lyrics, giving the track an even stronger imprint of the group’s identity.
Ahead of the official release of their new album The X on September 1, MONSTA X aims, through “Do what I want”, to give fans the very first taste of the vibe and energy this project embodies. Since their debut in 2015, the group has continuously taken on challenges, experimented, and grown, cementing their place as a “strong presence” acknowledged by all. Expectations are now building to see what new leap forward they will present with this upcoming album.
