CHOI MINHWAN will take the stage at FTISLAND’s domestic concert.

CHOI MINHWAN will meet Korean fans during FTISLAND’s concert titled “MAD HAPPY”, held on August 23 and 24 at the SOL Travel Hall in Blue Square, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Although CHOI MINHWAN resumed activities by joining FTISLAND’s live tour in Japan since March, this will be his first time meeting domestic fans since the controversy.
Aware of the situation, FTISLAND’s agency had previously informed the public about the concert with the statement: “This performance will feature Lee Honggi, Lee Jaejin, and Choi Minhwan. Please keep this in mind when booking.”
CHOI MINHWAN suspended his activities last year following a private life controversy. He married Yulhee, a former member of the group Laboum, in 2018, and together they have a son and two daughters. After five years of marriage, they announced their divorce and agreed that he would have custody of the children.
However, in October last year, Yulhee raised personal life allegations on her YouTube channel, including CHOI MINHWAN’s visits to adult entertainment venues during their marriage. Following these revelations, CHOI MINHWAN paused his group activities.
He was later accused of prostitution and sexual assault but was cleared due to insufficient evidence.
During the controversy, members LEE HONGGI and LEE JAEJIN continued group activities as a duo, but CHOI MINHWAN returned to the stage for concerts in Japan starting March 9, marking his comeback to the group.
Now, all eyes are on what CHOI MINHWAN will say during the domestic concert, marking his return after the controversy.
