Who will be the protagonist who will hold the first concert at the Seoul Arena? The Seoul Arena, which will open its doors in Chang Dong next year, is receiving its first official rental applications.

The Seoul Arena, whose construction is scheduled to be completed by March of next year, announced that it would accept official rental applications for the second half of 2027 until September 18 from show production companies and entertainment agencies.
The spaces available for rental are two venues: the “Arena” and the “Medium-sized Performance Hall”. Companies wishing to apply can submit their application through the official Seoul Arena rental webpage. Subsequently, the Seoul Arena will deliberate comprehensively on the show schedule, contents, execution capability, and marketing plan to decide on the rental allocation. For approved applications, details of the entire production and management will be discussed with the tenant company after the signing of the contract.
The strong point of the Seoul Arena is having been designed from the design phase as a space specialized in musical performances. Retractable seats were applied in order to configure the seating flexibly according to the form of the event, and it is planned to increase the audience’s immersion by introducing an LED seating system interconnected with the staging of the show, as well as a sound infrastructure.
Furthermore, equipped with the “Arena” capable of accommodating up to 28 000 people and the “Medium-sized Performance Hall” capable of being operated on a scale of about 7 000 people, it can respond not only to world tours, but also to various live shows such as festivals, concerts, fan meetings, and showcases. The two performance halls can be used in combination according to needs, thus allowing flexible operation adapted to the size and character of the show.
The convenience of show production for tenant companies has also been strengthened. The stage and seating were designed to be able to be configured freely according to the size of the event and the staging method, and a “large stage equipment elevation” system allowing the efficient installation of lighting, sound, and video equipment on the ceiling was set up. In parallel, a route allowing freight vehicles to enter directly inside the performance hall was developed, thus reducing the burden of show preparation processes such as stage installation and dismantling.
The Seoul Arena plans to accelerate securing show programming following its opening in the first half of next year, starting from this official reception of rental applications. Having been chosen as the venue for holding the “2027 FANOMENON”, which is promoted with the objective of being the “Korean Coachella”, it is actively engaging in attracting various shows such as major concerts and world tours, while planning to strengthen the overall support system for production and management so that tenant companies can stably prepare their shows according to their planning and production schedule.
Oh Ji Hoon, CEO of the Seoul Arena, stated: “We are preparing to realize more freely the stage imagined by artists and the production team, and to offer a highly immersive live experience that the public could hardly experience before”, adding: “Starting with this official reception of rental applications, we will present various shows capable of showing the unique competitiveness of the Seoul Arena by cooperating closely with domestic and international show production companies.”
