Singer LEE HYUN, the first artist signed to BigHit Music, will release his third mini-album “A(E)ND” on September 16 at 6 PM KST.
“A(E)ND” marks his first new release in four years since the single “Moon in the Ocean (바닷속 달)” in July 2021, and his first album in roughly 14 years and 7 months since his second mini-album “YOU ARE THE BEST OF MY LIFE (내꺼중에 최고)” in February 2011. In this album, released under his own name after a long hiatus, LEE HYUN expresses deep emotions and honest stories.
The album title, “A(E)ND”, combines the words “AND” and “END”, similar in spelling and pronunciation but opposite in meaning, symbolizing the duality of relationships and the complexity of emotions. The new album features six tracks that delicately portray universal feelings like love and heartbreak. By presenting these familiar emotions simply, the album aims to evoke empathy from listeners.
LEE HYUN expands his musical spectrum through a variety of genres, from heartfelt ballads that highlight his signature emotional depth to trendy pop and R&B. The album reflects a balance between the expressive skills and artistic experimentation he has developed over the years.
Meanwhile, LEE HYUN currently hosts the radio show “Best Friend Lee Hyun (친한친구 이현입니다)” on MBC FM4U (91.9 MHz in the Seoul metropolitan area), airing Monday through Thursday at midnight.
