The rise of UNIS, hailed as the “Top Rookie,” continues steadily.

According to global K-pop voting platform KTOPSTAR, which reflects current trends in the K-pop scene, UNIS ranked No. 1 in the 61st edition of the “Best Rookie (Female)” category, based on votes collected from August 25 to August 31.
Demonstrating steady popularity as a standout rookie group, UNIS once again topped the chart, proving their strong potential. They were followed by VVUP, who came in second.
According to KTOPSTAR,UNIS is set to officially kick off its Japanese activities with the release of its first original Japanese digital single, titled “Moshi Moshi♡” (もしもし♡), on September 12.
This marks UNIS’s first original Japanese song since its debut.
UNIS is already showing remarkable popularity in Japan, extending beyond its success in Korea. Recently, their collaboration with Japanese artist NOA on the track “Shaking my head” drew significant attention. The song performed well on various international charts, including in Japan, further raising anticipation for this upcoming digital single.
“Moshi Moshi♡” is a track that cutely expresses the fluttering feelings of falling in love, with a message centered on “wanting to convey the voice of the heart.” The song features a bright pop sound and a catchy chorus built around the phrase “Moshi Moshi.”
The single was produced in collaboration with HoneyWorks, a well-known Japanese creator unit. In Korea, HoneyWorks is also recognized for producing the viral hit “Sorry I’m cute” (귀여워서 미안해), which sparked a global challenge trend. Through this first collaboration with HoneyWorks, UNIS is expected to showcase its signature bubbly and refreshing charm more vividly than ever.
