BAMBAM announces the release of his first-ever Thai EP « HOMETOWN ».
On September 3rd, BAMBAM posted on his SNS two visuals to tease his upcoming EP « HOMETOWN ».
As a House ambassador of Louis Vuitton, he revealed to Loïc Prigent in the Louis Vuitton Extended podcast in July this new project he described as “a return from K-pop back to [his] hometown, [his] motherland“. Indeed, born in Thailand, BAMBAM flew to South Korea at 13 to train at JYPE for 4 years, before debuting with his group GOT7 in 2014. Despite of the dazzling success the group and his solo projects had with the Thai audience, he’s never had the occasion to create such a project in his native country.
With this new one, BAMBAM is creating the opportunity to make an album connected with his origins. We can see it from the two teasers he posted, as many references to Thailand are integrated in the mini clips, what with the blue, red and white of the Thai flag on his logo, the temples in the background, the tuktuk and the wai in letter W of « HOMETOWN » from his announcement post the previous day.
This album will certainly be a unique piece of art that will help fans know more about this crucial side of BAMBAM.
