The new special duo of SEVENTEEN, S.COUPS X MINGYU, invites everyone to a moment full of “hype” with their first mini-album “HYPE VIBES”.

A “high five” shared by S.COUPS X MINGYU… a moment of connection with everyone.
“HYPE VIBES” is an album that conveys a hot and free atmosphere, where everyone can have fun and connect with others. The album title, pronounced similarly to “high five,” reflects S.COUPS X MINGYU’s desire to create bonds with a wide audience.
The two artists have set to music various everyday moments so that listeners can choose and savor each track according to their own “present”. At the same time, they offer a range of genres from hip-hop to easy-listening pop, including rock and EDM, demonstrating broad musical diversity. Accustomed to presenting powerful tracks as members of SEVENTEEN’s hip-hop team, they here embark on a new artistic attempt. They participated in writing and composing the six songs on the album, infusing them with their sensibilities and preferences.
A lead track that captures the thrill of an electrifying encounter: “5, 4, 3 (pretty woman) (feat. lay bankz)”
The title track “5, 4, 3 (pretty woman) (feat. lay bankz)” expresses, through candid lyrics, the romantic emotions felt toward an irresistibly attractive person. It interpolates Roy Orbison’s hit “Oh, Pretty woman”, reworking some elements of the original melody and blending them with disco sounds to create a playful vibe. The participation of American hip-hop artist Lay Bankz further enhances the production quality.
Expectations are also high regarding the performance. In the recently released challenge video for this track, S.COUPS X MINGYU showcased a free and seductive aura, dancing with rhythm and groove. The video has already surpassed 180 million views, and thousands of fan videos recreating their choreography testify to the phenomenon’s scale.

S.COUPS X MINGYU, an iconic duo with diverse activities across music, entertainment, and fashion
The two artists have solidified their status as an “iconic duo” by shining on stage, on TV shows, and in photoshoots. Before the release of the new album, they will appear on various entertainment programs, including “Salon Drip 2”, and featured on the cover of the 20th-anniversary special issue of the international fashion magazine “HYPEBEAST”. On October 2, they will reveal the stage of their new track for the first time on Mnet’s “M Countdown”.
Meanwhile, group activities continue. Today (September 28), SEVENTEEN performs at the Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong’s largest venue, as part of “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN HONG KONG”. In October, they will hold nine concerts across five North American cities, before continuing in November and December with a tour of Japan’s four major domes.
