ANG HAE YOUNG, a member of F-IV, has passed away suddenly.

The news of his death was announced on October 10 by KIM HYUN SOO, another member of F-IV, through his personal account. He shared a screenshot of JANG HAE YOUNG’s online profile along with the message, “Rest in peace. When we meet again in heaven, let’s sing together once more,” revealing the heartbreaking news. The artist passed away at the age of 45.

According to reports, JANG HAE YOUNG died on October 6 after battling cancer. Many friends and acquaintances expressed their condolences on his personal account, leaving messages such as “May you fulfill the dreams you couldn’t achieve in heaven,” and “We’ll miss you deeply. Keep shining like an eternal star in our hearts.”
A graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, where he studied traditional Korean dance, JANG HAE YOUNG debuted in 2002 as a member of F-IV. As the group’s main vocalist, he stood out for his soft and emotional voice, contributing to many of the group’s hit songs.
F-IV captured the public’s heart with songs like “Girl”, “반지 (Banzi)”, “I’m sorry”, and “Merry christmas”. In particular, “반지 (Banzi)” remains a beloved classic wedding proposal song, cherished across generations.
The year after its debut, in 2003, F-IV won the Best New Group Award at the KMTV Korean Music Awards, solidifying its place in the Korean music scene. In 2012, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, the members reunited to thank their fans with the release of the single “THANK YOU”.
Alongside his activities with the group, JANG HAE YOUNG also pursued a solo career, releasing the singles “안돼요 내사랑“ and “못생겨서 미안해요“ in 2009.
In 2016, F-IV appeared on JTBC’s “투유 프로젝트 – 슈가맨”, where they performed their signature hits. During the show, JANG HAE YOUNG shared that he was working as a freelance investor while continuing to chase his musical dreams, including participating as a guest vocalist in the project group EMP.
