Actress SON NAEUN will star in the upcoming drama « 김부장 (Kim Bu-jang) » (written by Nam Daejung and directed by Lee Seungyoung), set to air in 2026, one of the most anticipated dramas of next year.
Adapted from the Naver webtoon of the same name, « 김부장 (Kim Bu-jang) » tells the story of a father, Kim Bujang (played by So Jisub), a former North Korean special agent who hides his past to live as an ordinary office worker. His life takes a dramatic turn when his beloved daughter becomes the victim of a kidnapping, setting off a chain of intense events.
The series will be directed by Lee Seungyoung, known for “Wonderful world” (2024), “Tracer” (2022), and “Voice 2” (2018). The script is written by Nam Daejung, director of films such as “First ride” (2025), “30 Days” (2023), “Homme fatale” (2019), and “The great wish” (2016), marking his debut as a drama screenwriter.
SON NAEUN will play Sangah, one of the main characters and a colleague of Kim Bujang at his company. With the confirmed cast including So Jisub, Choi Daehoon, and Yoon Kyungho, SON NAEUN’s addition further raises expectations for the project. Viewers are especially curious to see the chemistry between So Jisub and SON NAEUN, as well as the new side the actress will showcase in this role.
Since her debut in 2011 as a member of APINK, SON NAEUN has established herself as a versatile actress, appearing in « Twenty again » (2015), « Cinderella and four knights » (2016), « Dinner mate » (2020), « Lost » (2021) and « Ghost doctor » (2022). She also impressed audiences in « Agency » (2023), which recorded a peak rating of 16.044%, and in « Romance in the house » (2024).
Most recently, in « The tale of lady OK » (2025), she left a strong impression as Ok Taeyoung, a noblewoman who gives a new life to her former servant Gu Deoki (played by Im Jiyeon).
« 김부장 (Kim Bu-jang) » is set to air on SBS in 2026.
