On October 28, KQ Entertainment, the agency managing ATEEZ, released an official statement addressing the spread of false information, malicious rumors, and defamatory remarks about its artists across social media platforms and online communities.
The company began by thanking fans for their ongoing support, before expressing serious concern over the increasing volume of harmful content circulating about ATEEZ. According to KQ Entertainment, these posts include insulting comments about members’ appearances, false accusations, and slanderous statements, which have significantly damaged the group’s reputation and caused confusion among fans.
“These actions clearly constitute violations of the law and directly harm the dignity and reputation of our artists,” the agency stated.
KQ Entertainment explained that it has collected extensive evidence, including screenshots, videos, and online posts, and has strengthened its internal monitoring systems. The agency also confirmed that it has already initiated legal proceedings, filing complaints and reports with the relevant authorities.
“Anyone involved in creating, sharing, quoting, or reproducing false information will be held legally responsible. No leniency or private settlements will be considered,” the statement continued.
KQ Entertainment emphasized that these measures are intended not only to protect the rights and reputations of its artists, but also to prevent secondary harm that such false information can inflict on both artists and fans.
The company urged ATINY (ATEEZ’s fandom) to refrain from spreading or engaging with unverified information, to avoid amplifying misinformation. Fans are also encouraged to report any defamatory or false content directly to the following address:
KQ Entertainment requested that all reports be clear and non-duplicative, following the recommended format below:

The agency concluded its statement with a message of gratitude to fans around the world:
“We sincerely thank everyone who continues to trust and support our artists with care and goodwill. KQ Entertainment will keep doing its utmost to protect their integrity and rights.”
This announcement follows a growing trend in the K-pop industry, as major agencies such as HYBE, JYP, and SM Entertainment have also reinforced their legal policies to combat defamation and cyber harassment.
Formed in 2018, ATEEZ has achieved massive global success and is currently preparing for the next leg of its world tour, continuing to prove the group’s strong and dedicated international fanbase.
