KIM MINSEOK of MELOMANCE lends his voice to enhance the emotion of the main story in “마지막 썸머” (Last Summer).

The first part of the soundtrack for the new KBS 2TV weekend drama “Last summer”, titled “화내지마”, will be available on various music platforms on November 2 at 6 p.m. KST.
“화내지마” is a song expressing the emotions felt in moments when, while walking beside a loved one, a memory from the past or a small disappointment suddenly sparks an unexplained anger. The track captures the sincere desire to comfort the other simply by saying: “Don’t be mad,” amidst a shared happy moment.
The lyrics, such as “화내지마 / 천천히 걸어가던 중이었잖아 우리 / 떠나지마 / 불타지 않는 사랑하자 약속해 / I wanna have a safe love (Don’t be mad / We were just walking slowly, you and I / Don’t leave / Let’s promise a love that will never burn out / I want a peaceful love)”, resonate deeply and evoke empathy in listeners. The song, soft and romantic like a romantic comedy, blends with KIM MINSEOK’s sensitive yet powerful voice, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere.
The soundtrack of “Last summer” is supervised by producer SONG DONGWOON, recognized as one of Korea’s top OST producers. He has previously directed music production for dramas such as “Hotel del luna”, “Descendants of the sun”, “It’s ok, that’s love”, “Scarlet heart: Ryeo”, and “Our blues”, as well as several hit tracks from “Goblin”, including “첫눈처럼 너에게 가겠다”, “Stay with me”, “Beautiful”, and “I miss you”.
First aired on November 1, “Last summer” is a romantic drama of the “emotional remodeling” type, telling the story of a man and a woman, childhood friends, who are confronted with the hidden truth of their first love locked in Pandora’s box. The lead roles are played by LEE JAE WOOK and CHOI SUNG EUN.
