The group A2O MAY (Chenyu, Shijie, Quchang, Miche, Kat) is rising rapidly on global charts with its new track “Paparazzi arrive”.
A2O MAY released its first EP album “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE” on October 24, with the title track of the same name quickly gaining traction across music platforms upon release.
According to the Chinese platform QQ Music, on November 3, “Paparazzi arrive” ranked 3rd on both the Hot Song Chart (热歌榜) and the New Song Chart (新歌榜). Despite the absence of official live performances on site, the track recorded a high number of streams, increasing the group’s recognition.
With this success, A2O MAY has seen all its songs, from its debut single “Under my skin”, to “Boss”, “B.B.B (Bigger badder better)”, and “Paparazzi arrive”, enter the main QQ Music charts. The group has thus built its unique musical style called Zalpha Pop (잘파 팝), characterized by powerful sounds and self-empowering messages.
Since the release of its first EP album, A2O MAY has expanded its international activities, holding a listening party and an offline showcase in Los Angeles, as well as appearing on FOX5 “Good Day New York” and iHeartRadio “Z100”.
On November 1, the group received the New Artist Award at “2025 ASIAN HALL OF FAME” in Los Angeles, marking its second consecutive rookie award following the 2025 Weibo Music Awards.
