MOON YOU KANG
The actor MOON YOU KANG makes his first appearance in “No next life” (“다음생은 없으니까”) as a young “New Type” man.
The new Monday-Tuesday mini-series on TV CHOSUN, “No next life” (written by SHIN IWON, directed by KIM JEONGMIN), humorously and vividly depicts the lives of three 41-year-old friends exhausted by the daily struggles of education and routine work, seeking a more “fulfilled life.” In the series, MOON YOU KANG plays EOM JONGDO, a photographer and younger boyfriend of Lee Il Ri (JIN SEO YON), immediately drawing attention.
In the first episode aired on November 10, JONGDO’s appearance is brief but impactful. As he approaches Il Ri, his impressive physical presence is noticeable. He smiles gently at Il Ri and even blows her stuck eyelashes away, showing kindness and perfectly embodying the role of the younger boyfriend.
However, this sweetness does not last long. JONGDO frustrates Il Ri by getting her coffee order wrong or focusing solely on his phone. Il Ri complains that he never shares his schedule, while JONGDO responds: “Why have you been nagging like an old lady all this time?” teasing Il Ri’s ego. Although they are not interested in marriage, the contrast between JONGDO’s ultra-cool personality and Il Ri’s growing minor annoyance keeps viewers eager to see how their relationship develops.
MOON YOU KANG delivers JONGDO’s expressions with stability, alternating between softness and firmness. As a young and attractive character, he instantly captures the audience’s attention with his well-defined abs, broad shoulders, and masculine appearance. This charming and virile “New Type” young man generates high anticipation for his upcoming performances.
MOON YOU KANG is active in films, dramas, musicals, and theater. Recently, he appeared in the Netflix series “When life gives you tangerines” (“폭싹 속았수다”) as BU SANGGIL, and he currently plays SALIERI in the stage play “Amadeus”.
