The group XG has announced the release of its first full-length album, featuring an even more sophisticated “core.”

XG (Jurin, Chisa, Cocona, Hinata, Maya, Juria, Harvey) revealed the official logo of its first full album “THE CORE – 核” on its official social media on November 6, announcing the album’s release. Along with this, messages from the members expressing its confidence for the January 23 release were shared, generating anticipation from fans worldwide.

In an interview with CLASH magazine, CHISA said: “This album surpasses the intensity we have shown so far and expresses a more sophisticated and emotional side. Each track contains powerful and personal stories,” showing confidence in the album’s quality. The main theme 核 (핵) represents XG’s identity and reflects their desire to explore the essence of music and existence, with experiments that go beyond genre boundaries and conventions, condensing XG’s unique musical language and philosophy.
In September, XG released the pre-release single “Gala”, opening the first chapter of the full album. With sophisticated synths and rhythmic house beats, “Gala” combines a futuristic sound with avant-garde visuals. Upon release, the track charted on the YouTube Trending Charts in 21 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. The music video surpassed 18.42 million views (as of November 12), once again showcasing XG’s unique universe and musical presence.
MAYA expressed her attachment to “Gala”: “It’s a track that combines powerful verses, confident lyrics, and a futuristic sound, perfectly representing who we are today.” COCONA added: “‘Gala’ is the continuation of our journey and a new beginning. It’s the starting point of our first full album coming out next January, encompassing both past and future,” announcing the narrative expansion of the single into the full album.

Fans reacted with comments such as: “Deeper emotions than ever, we are ready,” “XG is building the future of pop,” “The next musical chapter promises to be incredible,” showing their excitement for XG’s 2026 activities.
XG, known for its powerful visuals and bold experimental music, was selected as a headliner for the Sahara stage at the “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival”, generating explosive reactions. Since last year, their first world tour “XG 1st WORLD TOUR ‘The first HOWL'” covered 35 cities in 18 countries with 47 concerts in total, attracting approximately 400,000 spectators. The finale at Tokyo Dome on May 14 sold out with 50,000 seats, confirming the group’s status as a “world-class” act.
With the upcoming release of its first full-length album “THE CORE – 核”, XG will begin its second world tour “XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE” starting in February in Japan, then across Asia, North America, Europe, Australia, and Latin America, once again pushing the limits of performance.
