SEVENTEEN - SCOUPS, MINGYU
The special unit S.COUPS X MINGYU of the group SEVENTEEN set Abu Dhabi night on fire.
S.COUPS X MINGYU was the headliner of the “DREAM CONCERT ABU DHABI 2025”, held on November 22 at ETIHAD PARK ABU DHABI in the United Arab Emirates.
They opened the show with “Worth it”, a song from their first mini album released in September, and thrilled the audience with varied performances combining unit tracks and solos. MINGYU showcased stylish charm with “Shake it off (Mingyu solo)”, while S.COUPS’s “Jungle” displayed his charisma.
During the final song, “5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman) (feat. Lay bankz)”, the atmosphere reached its peak. S.COUPS and MINGYU said: “This is the first time we can present our performance in Abu Dhabi, we are happy”, and “Thank you to everyone who was with us. CARAT, we love you.” They sang a cappella the songs from their first mini album “For you”, “Young again”, and chose as encore the SEVENTEEN title “아주 nice”, plunging the hall into a festive mood.
S.COUPS X MINGYU established their position as an “iconic duo”, showing a unique presence not only in music but also in fashion. They recently drew global fan attention by appearing consecutively on the American morning show TODAY SHOW, as well as on the popular radio channel “iHeart kpop with jojo”.
Their first mini album “HYPE VIBES” set a record by surpassing 880,000 sales in its first week (album sales during the seven days following release), setting the highest sales record for a Kpop unit album, and also achieved the highest ranking for a Kpop unit on the main American album chart “BILLBOARD 200”. Thanks to this, S.COUPS X MINGYU reached 1st place on Billboard’s “EMERGING ARTIST”, successfully staying on the chart for five consecutive weeks.
