The magazine SINGLES published photos and an interview of EOM JIYOON in its December issue. In the photos, EOM JIYOON reveals a new charm matching the wide range of characters she embodies, oscillating between her main personality and her alter egos.
During the interview, EOM JIYOON mentioned the success of her YouTube content “잘생긴 남자들의 포차 개업”, calling this project “the work that received the most immediate reaction recently” and adding: “I directed myself the entire creation of the character, concept, outfit, hairstyle, and makeup, so the strong response from the audience made me proud.” She also humorously confessed having felt “a little bit of jealousy” towards creators KOOBIN and HEO MIJIN, who appeared with her.
Regarding the popularity of her character EOM JIHUN, she stated: “At first, it was a light entertainment atmosphere, but now, a solid fandom seems to have formed” and “I feel the influence of fans who, through their comments, suggest directions for the character.” She then described EOM JIHUN as “a presence that strangely occupies my mind”, expressing her deep attachment to the character.
Active on multiple platforms, EOM JIYOON explained her criteria for her activities: “I choose novelty rather than repeating what is obvious”, emphasizing that “even if the number of views decreases, I don’t want to repeat the same repertoire.” She added: “I cannot abandon overnight the content expected by viewers, so I make some compromises” and “when I feel tired or freshness diminishes, I try new things.” She also confessed that she still feels tension during filming, but “thanks to this stage fright, I can progress”, showing her taste for challenges.
In conclusion of the interview, EOM JIYOON stated: “I thank myself, who has constantly reflected to live more pleasantly”, looking back on the past year.
