ATEEZ member SEONGHWA has been appointed as a promotional ambassador for the city of JINJU.
SEONGHWA was officially designated as a JINJU ambassador and received his letter of appointment at a ceremony held on December 19 at the Jinju Silk Museum.
Having spent his school years in JINJU, SEONGHWA was selected due to this regional connection. As a globally active artist on the international stage, he plans to leverage his strong influence to widely promote JINJU’s cultural appeal as well as the value of its city brand.
The event began with the official presentation of the ambassador plaque, followed by a mini talk show and a one-day mentoring session, further warming the atmosphere on site. This initiative served as a natural opportunity to promote Jinju’s cultural and tourism attractions, creating a special moment shared between Jinju and SEONGHWA.
In addition, to commemorate this appointment, a special exhibition featuring various content, including supportive messages from SEONGHWA to the city of Jinju, will be held at the Jinju Silk Museum until the end of January. This exhibition is expected to heighten interest among fans and citizens by connecting Jinju Silk with SEONGHWA’s journey.
SEONGHWA stated:
“It is a great honor for me to take on the meaningful role of ambassador in my hometown of Jinju, where I spent my childhood. I know how meaningful it is to represent one’s city as an ambassador. Going forward, I will do my best to share Jinju’s culture, nature, history, and the warmth of its people with the world. Lastly, I sincerely thank ATINY, our official fandom, who has helped spread the beauty of Jinju around the world together with me.”
Meanwhile, ATEEZ, the group to which SEONGHWA belongs, is set to deliver a Christmas-gift-worthy performance at the “2025 SBS GAYO DAEJEON with BITHUMB”, which will be held on the 25th at Inspire Arena in Incheon.
