The artists and producers ZICO and CRUSH unveiled a new track produced in collaboration.
The new track “Yin and yang”, released on January 16 at midnight KST on major music platforms, is a song resulting from the joint work of ZICO and CRUSH, who formed a producer team on the Mnet show “SHOW ME THE MONEY 12”.
Both artists participated together in writing the lyrics, composing, and arranging to create a high-quality sound. On a dense rhythmic base, ZICO’s deep and striking rap blends with CRUSH’s soft voice. The lyrics express the determination to maintain a relaxed attitude even in the face of harsh reality, like the interplay of light and shadow. Short, striking words such as “Burn Lights / Dark Side / We got the Yin and Yang” follow one another, creating an atmosphere close to freestyle rap.
“Yin and yang” had been previously revealed on January 8 through a producer cypher video, generating strong excitement. This video, published on Mnet’s YouTube channel, exceeded one million views in six days, setting the record for the highest number of views among producer cyphers.
The production skills that ZICO will demonstrate on “SHOW ME THE MONEY 12” also draw interest. In the first episode aired on January 15 at 21:20, he drew attention with his precise judgments and careful guidance provided to participants. Having already participated as a producer in seasons 4 and 6, where he led contestants to second place and to victory, his performances this season are highly anticipated.
In addition, ZICO is actively pursuing his activities as an artist. He will hold a solo concert titled “2026 ZICO LIVE : TOKYO DRIVE” on February 7 at Keio Arena Tokyo, in Tokyo. It will be his first solo concert in Japan in eight years.
