X1
The group X1, which was unable to shine due to the “vote manipulation scandal,” is seeing a possibility of rebirth open up.

It was confirmed on January 22 that former MNET PD AN JUN YOUNNG, who served a prison sentence for vote manipulation in connection with the “PRODUCE SERIES” audition program, recently met with some X1 members to propose their participation in a reality show.
The program in question is currently at the discussion stage, and its broadcast has not yet been confirmed.
Attention is focused on the possibility that the members of X1 could reunite once again through a reality show. The members of WANNA ONE, who were selected through “PRODUCE 101 SEASON 2”, have already confirmed the filming of a reality show produced by MNET.
The question is whether X1, following WANNA ONE, will also be able to ride the wave of nostalgia surrounding the “PRODUCE SERIES” and free themselves from this stigma.
X1 was formed through “PRODUCE X 101” and debuted in August 2019, but the revelation of the program’s vote manipulation led to its dishonorable disbandment after only five months of activities. The members then dispersed to their respective agencies, carrying the label of a “manipulated group.”
Interest is also centered on the possibility that AN JUN YOUNG could directly take charge of directing a reality show highlighting X1. AN JUN YOUNG was sentenced in May 2020 to two years in prison for the “Produce vote manipulation scandal” and was released in November 2021 after serving his sentence.
Fans’ eyes are also turned toward whether X1 will be able to lay the groundwork for a comeback through this potential reality show.
