IRON
It has been five years since rapper IRON passed away.

IRON was found dead on January 25, 2021, in a flower bed of a residential building located in the Jung-gu district of Seoul. He was 29 years old.
The late IRON rose to fame in 2014 by finishing second on the television show “Show Me the Money 3” aired on Mnet. At the time, he drew significant attention by reinterpreting the song “독기” by LEESSANG in his own style. He also participated as a featuring artist on “Puss (Prod. by Rimer)” performed by JIMIN, former member of AOA, via the Mnet show “Unpretty Rapstar”.
However, over the course of his career, he was involved in several controversies related to social incidents. In 2016, he was prosecuted for marijuana use and sentenced to eight months in prison with two years of probation. In 2017, he was again sentenced to eight months in prison with two years of probation, as well as 80 hours of community service, for acts of violence against his girlfriend.
In 2020, he once again sparked controversy over assault allegations. He was arrested for repeatedly attacking a roommate, B, an 18-year-old trainee singer he was mentoring, with a baseball bat. At the time, IRON claimed it was “discipline,” but public opinion was largely negative.
Subsequently, IRON passed away suddenly, and the case was closed due to the expiration of public prosecution.
